African Nightcrawler Facts:

We recommend using African Nightcrawlers if your goal is to create LOTS of castings. African Nightcrawlers are large worms and excel over all other species in devouring food scraps and brown material such as paper, cardboard, leaves, peat moss, coco coir, manure, compost and yard waste!

African Nightcrawler Compost Worms (ANC / Eudrilus Eugeniae) for indoor and outdoor raising. African Nightcrawlers can survive outdoors in the spring, summer, and fall and their cocoons can survive the winter in a large compost bin that is kept active throughout the winter.

ANCs are recommended for raising in indoor and warm outdoor environments and thrive in temperatures above 20°C.

They are the one of the largest commonly used compost worms and can eat the most and produce the most castings of all the species. They can co-exist with other worm species.
